Homeopathy (or homoeopathy) is a 200-year-old form of alternative medicine that claims to stimulate a healing response and strengthen the body’s ability to heal itself. Those who practice it claim that it is a holistic system of medicine based on the theory of treating ‘like with like’. It claims to stimulate the body’s own healing response to disease, using specially prepared, highly diluted preparations.

It’s  discovered by a German scientist Dr. Samuel Hahnemann in 1796. He discovered that quinine bark, a conventional medicine for malaria, produced the same malarial fevers it could heal when it was taken by someone who was well. He experimented with other plants in the same way and realized that healing “like with like” was an effective way of stimulating the body to self-heal.

These medicines are highly diluted and prepared from plants, metals, minerals etc. They stimulate the natural ability of our body to heal itself.

Homoeopathy not only heals the disease from its physical roots but also heals a person based on mental and emotional level. In other words it tackles mind-body disorders.
